If you ever find yourself in Far North Queensland, do yourself a favour and pull in at the El Arish Tavern. It's a historic country pub on the Cassowary Coast, about an hour and a half south of Cairns, run by good people who do hospitality the same way we like it - honest food, cold drinks and a proper welcome.
